Join Ubuntu Volunteers
Ubuntu Volunteers refers to young people, within communities, who also belong to a Community Chapter of Ubuntu Volunteers. Ubuntu Volunteers are based in communities across the country. Their focus is community development work in areas such as education, skills development, environment, poverty alleviation, unemployment and other activities that will be critical in the improvement of the quality of life in our communities. The Ubuntu Volunteers will always subscribe to this doctrine of serving a purpose that is greater than themselves. The volunteers will also meet on regular basis to discuss the philosophy of Ubuntu in the African context. They will commit to work tirelessly to bring about change in communities where they come from. Unemployed youth will form the core of the volunteers group so that they can use their main resource, time, in improving life in the community and acquire new skills for their own personal development.
